Before the Wii launched Nintendo’s preview of Disaster Day of Crisis got folks rather excited. Developed by Monolith Software (who previously worked on Baten Kaitos) on behalf of Nintendo, much was expected from this core title which promised nonstop action, great graphics and interactive controls. During Nintendo’s autumn press conference a new GameCube remake series called Play On Wii was announced. Those of you who aren’t new to the gaming scene will already know that Gamecube didn’t sell that well compared to Sony’s Playstation 2 and so many great titles from the Cube era didn’t get into the hands of many gamers. So even though the Wii is backwardly compatible with all gamecube games (GCN or Classic Controller required), Nintendo have decided to remake a selection of classic titles with updated visuals (Widescreen and 480p) and Wii Remote and Nunchuck controls.

Activision has just recently announced the release of Quantum of Solace for Wii and DS. The game is scheduled to be available at stores on November 4. The game follows the story line of the upcoming James Bond film the James Bond: Quantum of Solace. The Wii version, developed by Beenox Studios, will feature a single-player campaign as well as a multiplayer mode. The DS version, developed by Vicarious Visions, involves a lot of using the touch screen as you play the game. For example, like Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass and Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword.

Today Nintendo introduced the newest member of the Nintendo DS family of products, Nintendo DSi. The DSi is the third version of the Nintendo DS handheld and is set for release later this year in Japan.
This new, svelte dual-screen portable (pictured below) was announced at a Nintendo Co. Ltd. press event. The DSi is slated to launch in Europe in the spring of 2009.
